*Sighs*
California just upheld the gay marriage ban (got that twittered to me by like, every star on my twitter list). Isn't Marriage a state institution now, not a religious one? Why are we discriminating against people based on religious morality for a state document?

*shakes head*

That's what I've been asking for years now. =_= Because I've yet to hear a decent argument against it that wasn't essentially "because the Bible says no!"
And, you know, it's not as if gay people are being obstinate and saying "IF WE CAN'T GET MARRIED IN A CHURCH AND BLESSED BY A PRIEST AND CANONISED THEN FORGET IT!" A completely secular wedding is all anyone ever asked for. =/

Honestly, if I had my way, EVERY ASPECT of church and state would be separated. I mean how is life fair for muslims, pagans, etc? So long as your religious beliefs do not impinge on the rights of others, people should shut the hell up.
